RE: 15 miles an hour for 15 miles...

i'm still here. just got sidetracked. you know me the multi-tasker - ok you make a lot of sense and i understand better now. maybe not what you like about your shoes turning green from grass. that ruins a pair of otherwise good shoes!

3) A cool, rainy night (so does that mean you like Eddie Rabbit's song that I've requested)
5) The fact that every day is another chance to accomplish the things I failed at in the past (most people refer to it as another day in the rat race- glad you're not in it)
7) The crisp air and rustle of leaves in Fall (i love that, too- reminds me of VT)
9) That I get to live out a childhood dream EVERY DAY by running this station (again, be glad you're not in the rat race)
10) The fact I've made friends across the country and even around the globe through this station. (that is so cool)
14) Christmas! NOTHING BETTER than a house full of decorations while snow is piling up outside. (guess you're not Jewish)
15) The smell of freshly cut grass and the green tint it puts on your sneakers as you cut it.
16) Technology that allows me to do so many things that my parents never had a chance too. (like what?)
17) Eating out at a nice restaurant. (true)
18) Finding a movie on cable late at night on cable that you never knew about and it's so interesting you wind up staying up until 4 am because you just have to see it. (i'd fall asleep anyway because of the whole rat race thing)
19) Any song that can make me get a lump in my throat (like Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw). (wow- how emotional for a dude)
21) Joking with friends and making them laugh. (you seem great at it)
25) A day in a casino. (what do you play)
27) Vegetables you grew yourself! (what about fruit?)
30) That moment when you finish putting something together and you realize you have no left over parts. (I'd barely know- I make (beg) people do that crap for me)

Who wants to know? MEL!!! Is that actually you behind the Cheeselvr name?

16) Technology that allows me to do so many things that my parents never had a chance too.

There are three things I wanted to be when I was growing up, well four, but I outgrew the garbage man phase. I wanted to be a reporter, I wanted to be a DJ, and I wanted to own a record store.

I get to be a DJ because of the internet. I ran an online record store for awhile, which isn't the same thing, but I still got cool promo stuff which made me happy, and with the way the biz has changed I wouldn't want to do that anymore anyway. The reporter thing hasn't happened, but if I WANTED to I could run a blog or something.

The internet technology has made it possible for ANYBODY to do things that would have been monumental undertakings 25 years ago, fairly easily.

19) Any song that can make me get a lump in my throat (like Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw). (wow- how emotional for a dude)

I thought hard about that one, wondering if I was sharing too much. In the end I decided I'm comfortable in my manhood so I got nothing to hide. YES, a great story song can bring a tear to my eye. It can be embarassing

21) Joking with friends and making them laugh. (you seem great at it)

Thank you VERY MUCH, I take that as a great compliment.

25) A day in a casino. (what do you play)

I only play the slots. I don't have the poker face for the tables. If I got a great hand my smile would wrap around my head and everyone would know I had a great hand. Or I'd overcompensate and look ticked off and they'd all know I was acting.

27) Vegetables you grew yourself! (what about fruit?)

Not a huge fruit fan, but I love tomatoes, which I think are actually a fruit aren't they?

i guess tomatoes are fruit- but since i always order them on my pizzas, i'm gonna stick with the vegetable idea. i'm glad you're not a reporter- the ones i've dealt with were just horrible. they'd have the story already written before interviewing you- trying to trick you into saying things and twisting your words. i hate reporters for that reason. speaking of hate, here's my list since i normally don't divulge this stuff as frequently as you:
1) that Aqua girl barbie song (sorry whoever requests it every day)
2) burned pizza
3) being nauseated
4) people who shove their hands in a crowded elevator just to get their lazy impatiend a$$ on
5) when my phone won't stop ringing at work with psychos calling me all damn day long makiung my life unbearable (i love my job)
6) getting water in my ears after being in the pool
7) back aches / head aches
8) my car leaking trans fluid / motor oil all over my concrete driveway & garage
9) not getting caffeine in time thus getting a headache
10) not being able to listen to FFR as freely as I used to @ work
11) missing hearing my requests
12) being ignored on the forum when I try to ask ?s of other specific people
13) getting up for work early when I could sleep in instead and listen to FFR all day!
14) having something caught in your teeth that you can't find to remove
15) not knowing how to operate my dvd player or new camera
16) my stupid printer not working
17) dietitians (or anyone else) yelling at me on the phone for things that I have no control over nor have anything to do with- i am not a venting rag
10)

REALLY? But it's so cheesy!!!!

12) being ignored on the forum when I try to ask ?s of other specific people

This might make you feel better. There's a delay when someone leaves the forum Unless they specifically log out, which most people don't, they may appear to be here for quite some time after they've actually left. Everyone here is pretty cool, and if you ask them something specifically they will answer if they see it.

But when they come back later it may be deeply buried so they never see it.

Over all not a bad list. If those are your ten biggest gripes you have a pretty good life goin' on!

well, these are my more mundane gripes...I probably have bigger ones that aren't worth mentioning becuase they involve my parents and in-laws and its totally out of my control- like the health problems they face and stuff. don't wanna depress anyone here.

i'm going to bed. Talk to you all hopefully tomorrow!

Don't forget to tell her we ARE balanced Ruby. We also have a Things I Love thread. Although it's a LOT shorter than the Things I Hate Thread
