Oh yeah! I've been using em' all summer. I've been putting Oregano and Basil in EVERYTHING!

Next year though I'm growing them INSIDE. A lot of them are no good because insects eat em. It's odd. Seems like they stick to the pre-chewed leaves because I can always find some perfect ones in there.

The tomatos were a HUGE failure. I'll do better next year

We gave up on gardens. It didn't matter what kind of fence we put the deer always cleaned us out.

I still won't let AC live the last one down. We had 7 or 8 beautifull tomato plants with a boat load of tomatoes on them and I told her Friday night we should pick them. She said no lets give them one more day. The next day the plants were eaten to the ground and all of my tomatoes were gone.

I know the folks at chia pet do an indoor spice garden. I've been meaning to pick one up one of these christmases and giving it a try. instead of like that chia head. my grandma had one of them when I was a kid and it freaked me out pretty bad.

LOL. She mentioned in a thread somewhere that she had Deer eat all her tomatos. Never heard a WORD about the 24 hours preceding it

Speaking of Deer. I did a double take tonight driving through the parkway near North avenue between 98'th & 80'th street.

That tiny little parkway and yet there was a FAMILY of deer by the side of the road, two big un's and two little fawns. They were just sitting there chewing the grass and watching the cars go by.

The only time I've ever seen more than one deer in a place has been when I've been up in the Northern Woods. Those four deer don't stand a chance of finishing out the summer

It kills me everytime I see someone talking about 98th & 80th streets! If I were to say that you're coordinates would be somewhere's in North Dakota!

It's amazing! There's no where for them to run. They're so penned in. Poor guys, someone should drive them up to the northern woods.

We can't grow vegetables in our yard- stupid HOA! But between the deer and the japanese beetles, my yard has been through hell! The roses are coming back again, but my lillies are deer food almost every other night. I have a list of things to plant in the fall that the deer do not eat!
