RE: My Day...

How could you not feel a friggin' breeze LONG before that?!?!

The guy HAD to be a loon or a legitimate sex pervert who knew exactly what he was doing and was just waiting for a reaction.

Gosh Ally- I think I might have lost my cookies! Sorry about the trauma!

Cheese, must be an IL thing- my girlfriend and I were crossing the street when we were young and there was a car trying to turn- well he was trying something- and he was a freak. I also had a guy ask me to come and look at a map to point him in the right direction- then he pointed something at me! I do not get the attraction to trying to seduce young girls. Freaks!

Hey Ruby-
It probably is an IL thing becuase that's not the only time it happened to me, either. Another time a guy I really only met once who was a good 10 years older than me was having fun with himself in his car. He called me over to talk to him when I saw what he was doing I got the hell away. I was about 18 or 19. He probably would've still done that if I were 15 or 16. Yucko

You sold the guy an ugly pair of glasses! Isn't it bad enough he's homeless, now you've sent him out into the world looking like Poindexter!

Is it to late to get a refund on my shades?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally. You know I oooooooooooooooonly tease the people I like. If I didn't like you I'd be all serious and solemn when chatting with you.

Now do a nice job on those glasses ok? We're all friends here, no need for any animosity

Ally- maybe you can give me the lowdown on my scrath-resistant lenses.  I bought them baout 2-3 years ago from Pearl Vision. They weren't cheap. The protective coating is coming off of one and not the other, which led me to beleive that maybe one lens was coated and the other wasn't. I brought them back and showed them and they said there's nothing they could do and I'd have to spend another $300.

Is that normal? I would expect that for that money they'd last longer than that. I took care of them. One lens looks all scrathed and the other is ok.

What do you think?

I would expect our lenses to last longer than that. Pearle stores are franchises so they can use crappy products if they want. If it were in the life of the prescription (less than 2 years) I would demand they remake them, but as old as they are its time for new glasses and exam anyway.

That's true. I should get my but back in there for an exam. One of these days.....do you reccomend the scratch-resistant coating? It sucks when it peels off.

I used to think it was a crock...but I have seen somethings that are pretty scary in the past few years...that without an anual eye exam would haven't been noticed. Just the other day a lady came in with a lesion on her retina....possible cancer. She is 23 years old....scary.

I know. You freaked the hell out of me when I got back from my eye exam and you started telling horror stories. You never think of that crap with your eyes. If the contact looks clean you figure what's it hurt to keep it in there. Now I know

I never wore contacts. Somehow I think I'd screw them up.  I'm too busy to pay attention to details- like cleaning them and removing them. Or I'd lose them. They seem to high maintenance. Am I wrong?

not at all, if you aren't going to do it right, stick with glasses.

The main difference since you scared the crap out of me isn't that I take better care of my contacts, it's that I just wear them a LOT less!

I bet last year my contacts were NOT in my eyes a combined total of MAYBE 10 days.

I went weeks upon weeks without taking them out!

Now I wear my glasses a LOT more and when I do use the contacts I try to take them out every night.

sounds like A-cat really helped educate you on wearing contacts. That's what friends are for
