Dinty Moore Chicken, Gravy & Mashed Potatoes

DO NOT BUY THIS CRUD

It's one of those personal sized meals that are vacuum sealed so you don't even have to keep it refrigerated. I always thought that was gross that meat could sit on your shelf for two years or more and supposedly be fine.

This was the worst meal I've had in months. The gravy was disgusting, tasted like motor oil or something, the potatoes were horrid, and the "chicken" looked like it was NOT of this world!

Stuff like that is good for people like me that live in the hurricane zone- that might pass for a meal then, but otherwise

Riggs....that sounds so gross. Not that I'd ever buy that but meat that sits on the shelf? Unless its beef jerky, no thanks! You need to have Svetlana learn how to do home-cookin'

lol, you know, I've actually gotten pretty darn good at cookin' myself now. I even spent a couple hundred bucks earlier this year and finally bought nice pots, pans, and various gizmos and gadgets for the kitchen.

But I had this meal and one other Dinty Moore meal sitting on my shelf for almost a year and I thouht I'd better eat em' up before they expire (which isn't actually for another 18 months!)

I think I'll throw the Turkey and Stuffing one out before I even try it

That's true. Or for people who don't want to cook and don't mind eating it.

No do not throw it out- give it to a food bank type place! I bet we all could find a bag of food to donate!

I remember at school when we had to bring canned foods, we always took the crap no one ate since the year before!

Riggz- drop it off in one of the neighborhoods you're afraid to drive through.

Oh man! I tried that crud about a year ago. Another one I tried was the Uncle Ben's rice in a bag that you just open and put in the microwave.

I wouldn't feed either one to my cats!

Really REALLY bad hey?

Like Ruby or Cheese said (I forget which), maybe during a hurricane, or while trapped in a bomb shelter they would suffice, but that ain't normal eatin' food.

I feel like I was robbed of my supper tonight cus I wasted it on THAT crap.

You mean I could be a supermodel for a day? Remove my meal?

Please Woo, let me live vicariously through you tonight. What did you have?

we stopped at the veggie stand on the way home. we picked up fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob and yellow watermelon.

then we stopped at the store for bacon and came home with strawberries.

we had blt's minus the "L" and everything above except the watermelon.

Yummy!

oh and hubby mashed the strawberries and added sugar.

I made my famous Sparky burgers and spuds. AC says I make the bestest cheeseburgers.
