Riggs I don't know a lot about Elmore James- what I do know is that he is almost the father of slide-blues guitar. Influenced all the big blues folks like Muddy Waters and B.B.  I am not sure about his lyrics- I think he was at the forefront of recorded blues. this would be something as interesting as all get out tho, if the price is right. and if you get it, I'd use it in a future jazz 101. I do some blues too! but yea, I can't honestly say I know his stuff well. I know Ronnie Wood of the Stones, whom, by the way, all slide players worship, cites him as an influence.
