Well hello JR. Long time no speak. How ya be? I am sorry to say that your Brewers are going to be able to hang in there for the wildcard spot. My Phillies will be barley aboe to do that. The Phillies would be leading if they didn't blow two save opportunites against Cincy two weeks ago.

Oh Fuzz, Derrick Turnbow cost us 7 games in three weeks. if we'd have won just five of those we'd be in first place in our division.
Lost opportunities. I'm sorry to see you've had a rough year. I'm glad we got David Bell from you though! He's been a nice add, I think we're gonna try to keep him.
Well, I am glad Bell is doing something for you guys. He hasn't done crap here in the last two years. Of course, that left us with no real third baseman ans this guy we have sucks. And I mean sucks - offensively.

Bring it bird! Remember, I have no life, no job, no nothing. I have put my body back into shape. Sure, it may still be round but I am ready for you. Besides, how hard can it be to beat up a bird that doesn't fly?

After last year and our closer blowing two or three games to Houston (right at the end off the season when it mattered most), the Phillies deserve a chance to make it and then lose in the first round. However, that being said, we have a great deal of games within our division left. We also have about six games against Houston and three more with the Cubs. That is severe make or break time.

Thanks JR. You can root for our loveable losers anytime. Just remember that the Rookie of the Year is either tied with or right behind Big Pappy from Boston in HR. And his RBIs are up there too. Too bad the pitching is inconsistent. But it is getting a little better.

We got the ROY this year Fuzz. Prince Fielder! Gonna hit 30 homers!
JR - go for it. I am hoping Howard had a chance at the homerun lead for the year. He has 44 or 45 now. He is very close to breaking Mike Schmidt's season record of 48.

I am afraid I haven't done much of anything useful lately. A lot of watching and waiting. A lot of oooo that looks nice I want it for the house but not being able to have it. I have been reading, doing some CPE credits, Sudoku puzzles, into a workout routine, some nights with friends, tv, dealing with wedding stuff for the wedding I am in at the end of September, occasionally sitting out back staring at nothing, kicking a soccerball around, occasional yardwork, spending some time on the web and harassing people. I guess that about sums it up.

The Brewers rolled into powder puff land to play the Marlins. 7 of their next 10 games are against those cream puffs and I called it in advance that they'll lose 5 of the 7. Because THATS what they do. They climb into contention and then let lesser teams knock them back out.
Sure enough, game one, a 5-2 lead blown for a 6-5 loss.
