I see that too when i post in the count it down thread.


Waay must have ticked the box that says yes to e-mail notifications if anyone subscribes to that thread lol...but it seemz bizarre that we should see the message on our screens...

Haircut was pretty uneventful. It is shorter and my neice will be on her way to Alaska. I didn't realize this, but they are going bear hunting.

So, what do people do with bears after they kill them? Is bear meat good?

I don't think they do anything with it other than claim a trophy. I don't understand how killing a living thing is a sport, at least all the deer hunters I know cook the meat (and some even use the hides, antlers, etc.).

I can also understand if they are thinning out an area that is overrun. My parents live on an island and they have deer hunting only once a year and that is to thin out the population. It lasts one day. The animals could not survive on their own if they kept multiplying in some areas.

That makes sense, but most of those hunters still do something with it, either keep the meat for themselves or give it to charity.
