YOUR OLDEST CONCERT SHIRT>>>

Lets try this one on.....

What is the oldest shirt you bought at a concert and still have.....List the Concert and year....

Me: would be the Kinks from 1979.....and my wife still wears it!  She may even have one from 1976 when the Beach Boys and Chicago played together for a summer tour (I haven't seen it in a while, so it may be hidden in the bottom of the drawer!)

1997 Sammy Hagar, Marching to Mars tour. It was a white shirt, and now it's all stained and I'll never wear it again, but I just can't part with it!

Every time AC cleans the closet out she puts it in the donate pile and then I have to dig it back out and hang it back up.

Meatloaf - Live Around The World Tour Sometime in the early 90's. I wore it twice. It's still in mint condition

You know what would be even funnier? If you spilled  just a dab of ketchup on it!

Yeah, I'm not seeing the humor in that Perhaps you noticed I said it was in MINT condition I keep it in a hyperbolic chamber I bought from Michael Jackson during his fire-sale a few years ago. It's been perfectly preserved. My will explicitly states that I am to be buried in it

I think we should at least consider the shorts made out of steak then.

I think .38 Special are the ONLY concert shirts I ever bought. I should go look in the spare closet, I think I have three different ones.

That's like me and Meatloaf. I'm not into buying $30 T-shirts, so I'll only buy them for is concerts.

RE: YOUR OLDEST CONCERT SHIRT>>>

I don't have any.... poor, old me, hasn't been to a rock concert since before Kaisha was born.  And those days and T-Shirts, are looooonnng gone......  But back then I went to a lot of concerts and had a lot of T-Shirts.

But I did go to see Kenny Rogers 2 times w/ the X husband in the late 90's.  I never bought a T-Shirt though

I would have liked to have seen Kenny back in the 80's or early 90's. I loved his stuff around the time of THE GAMBLER

before:  He used to look better before the face lift I think.  His wife is like 29 years old and they have twin sons that are 2 years old together.   This is his 5th wife.  I saw a tv special on him the other day.

Aww why the hell would he get a face lift!

he looked good as he was. Distinguished.

Stoooooooooooopid.

I never went to see him D. I just wish I would have. LONG ARM OF THE LAW, COWARD OF THE COUNTY, RUBY, RUBUEN JAMES, THE GAMBLER, just a great run of songs I would like to have seen perfomed live when they were newer.

Ok no surprise here, but I got New Kids On The Block t-shirts. I think the oldest one is 1989. Not in very good shape. It has holes in it from wearing the big pins they had!

Facelift! That's what it is, I've been trying to figure that out for about a year, I told AC he sure was looking old.

My only two remaining T's are Foreigner's Agent Provacateur (The F is like floating on the shirt and the lettering STILL glows in the dark!!)  circa 1985.  Then I still have my Van Halen 5150 T-shirt where the band is all in straight jackets.  That t-shirt is so thin now it's almost weightless

RE: YOUR OLDEST CONCERT SHIRT>>>

Best... thread... ev-er!

Mine would be Air Supply from the "Lost In Love" tour. Then my Rick Springfield from 1981 jersey - still in near mind condition, even though I wore it a lot. My mom knew how important my concert shirts were to me, and used to wash them inside out - sometimes individually. (Yes, I was spoiled...)

I have ever concert shirt I ever bought, and I bought a lot back in the day when they were $15 - 20. I have tons! (One exception - my Everly Brothers shirt, which got some sort of unknown substance on it, and I had to make it into rags, because it was totally ruined. Still don't know what on earth happened, there.)
