It is official- even Favre knows the Pack suck!

Brett Favre has said many times in the past that he didn't want to play for any team other than the Green Bay Packers.

But the star quarterback is sending some conflicting messages now.

Favre says on HBO's "Costas Now" that he would consider playing for another team, if that's what the Packers wanted.

But just a week earlier, Favre said the memory of seeing Ken Stabler struggle with the New Orleans Saints in twilight of his career would keep him in a Packers uniform, ESPN reported.

In response to a question on Costas' show about if a team needed a player for a Super Bowl run, Favre said, "I can't say it wouldn't happen."

The quarterback said he would only do it with the Packers' permission.

"If it comes to a point where (the Packers) do start over and I feel like I can play and they say, ‘Brett, if you want to go somewhere else, go ahead, but we've got to start over. It's time for us to rebuild. It just doesn't make sense, so do what you want.’ If I got the itch at some point, I can't say ‘no.’ "

I think it really doesn't matter.

I love Brett Favre, he did more for this ballclub than anyone in the past 15 years, but this team has not been as good the past three years in large part because of his declining skills.

The only reason I can honestly see another team wanting him is to build fan interest from having a hall of famer on their team for a year.

No contender is gonna look to Favre to be their savior, unless it's a team that just lost their QB to season ending injury and has no other options.

Yeah, I think it would be too much to think he could pull any other team out of a hole. If he can't help the Pack win, what makes someone think he could do it for another team. He should have retired

Sorry, but I had to pick at the Pack

This will be his last year. I think he's gonna be humiliated this year. I really do. I HOPE I'M WRONG. Every week I'll be hoping he has found his old form and has a fantastic season.

But all indications are that he's fading fast, maybe not so much pyscially, he's still got an amazing arm, but he just lost his football senses a few years ago. Reverted back to playing like he did before he got good. Bad choices, forcing things, almost guaranteeing turnovers.

I actually remember reading a quote about four years ago during the playoffs. An opponent, it might have been the Atlanta team that embarassed us at home in the playoffs, said "Favre is a good player, but everyone in this league knows he's gonna give you three or four golden opportunities to intercept him during a game. If you're ready for that you're gonna beat him"

They crushed us, with five turnovers at least. From that point on it was like he just didn't have it anymore

Enjoy your time Ruby. I fear the Pack will be looking up at the Bears for a couple years.

HOWEVER, Once the season starts I'm STILL gonna trash talk to high heaven and give the Bears NO repsect

Brett and the Pack have both seen better days. I think the only way anyone would sign him and pay him what he deserves, would be to pack fans into their stadium because their team sucks and he would be a draw to boost attendance. but he wouldn't go to a team that wasn't a contender.

Yes indeed, I think the KING of the NFL is safely a life-time Packer forever!

That's better.

After all, I believe I had my head handed to me (by someone within the thread) not long ago by someone telling me the Packers would win this year.

I sure hope Farve enjoys his Lincoln Financial Field turf dinner.
