I was thinking that we all learn new things everyday this might be a good thread to share those with eachother.


 


Today I learned that cat litter is as much fun as the sand box. the things I learn from a 22 month old.

SNL did a parody commercial once on kitty litter pets where kids would make animals that were made out of cat poo covered in kitty litter that they picked them out of

I learned yesterday to always mince your own garlic from the clove, do not buy the jar of minced garlic. its worth it!

thats more of an eeewwww than this but it was funny, she was grabbing handfulls of it and throwing it on the floor and playing in it. It was straight out of the container not the litter box.

I just got a reminder that when I have a week off from playing bass, I should still force myself to find time to practice something. Otherwise when I get back to it, my fingers get really sore.

web, I bust out my guitar maybe 3 time a year. on top of sore fingers, good god, my hand (on the frets) gets cramped! I used to be able to play for hours on end! way out of practice!


but yea, bass strings! that's serious strings!

This morning, I learned the sequence for setting up a new site for Mz and COTA based on her existing template. This will mean Mz doesn't have to do quite as much initial work when setting up a new site for a COTA patient.

I have flat-wound strings on my bass which is MUCH easier on the fingers.

I don't get cramps, but my fingers (especially my pinky) get really tired. Those strings are so heavy that you really gotta mash them down hard to keep them from buzzing on the frets.

Today I learned to be grateful for having real friends, and a new day changes everything.


For had I not learned this...I could be jobless and posting in forums or playing WOW every day instead of working for a living.

Today I learned to never use my husbands toothbrush again. I was desparate to brush my teeth the other day but I packed away my toothbrush & couldn't find it. So, I thought- what the hell, why not just use it. Afterall, he is my husband....well....since then I've had a sore throat. I think I caught something from it. Never again!

Yesterday, I learned how to (and how NOT to) change the air freshener.

I also learned how cool of a guy Web is to do stuff like that for me. Wait- I already knew Web was cool.
