 we call it ferret proofing. making sure there aren't any holes for them to stick a nose in .


 put latches on cabinets , sealing up the space under cabinets, makeing sure they cant get behind appliances etc.


 I've had more than one than 1 fert that could get under the stove , lol , next thing you here is pots and pans clanking from the storage space at the bottom of the oven.


 a side-benifit of  ferret proofing is you just sealed up spots bugs use to get into your house.
