So we were flipping through channels over the weekend, and came upon the new Meat Loaf video, which is for yet another version of “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” and seemed to be a duet with a really pretty young girl with an annoying baby-voice. After a while, I realized it was the M2M girl, Marion Raven! Now, don’t get me wrong – I like M2M (In fact, I was really surprised when I first came across their song on Riggs’ request list.) But I liked them because they were 2 girls who were friends for years, and made this music together, and oh yeah… dated HANSON!! But seriously, their little girl Susanna Hoffs-type voices blended well together in a cute sort of way. NOT the right voice for a Steinman song!!! And plus, they had a bad falling out with each other, which really makes me sad, because I find it very rare for females to remain friends for a long period of time, and I was hoping they would prove me wrong, what with their musical connection and all.
So yeah, another pointless version and another bad choice for a female singer. (Way to go, Steinman! )
P.S. - My husband later informed me that Nikki Sixx was working with her on her new stuff. (What a lucky girl!)

Keep in mind I'm fussy-wussy. Most especially when it comes to these rehashes of Steinman songs that are so very precious to me... I mean, the world loved the hideous Celine version
