BIG NEW RELEASES THANKS TO THE RUSSKIES!

Those mangnificant Russians have come through for me again!

They had the new Meat Loaf album BAT OUT OF HELL III a MONTH earlier than it's scheduled US Release!!

WOO HOO!!

So far I'm not impressed though. The Loafster sounds VERY restrained in his singing on this album. He's doing a lot of OLD music, including a cover of IT'S ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOW which he did as a duet and it doesn't work because he isn't belting it out like he should and the duet partner SUCKS.

Which brings me to the worst point, PATTI RUSSO is NOT on this album!!!

Lady Strange? Any info? I hope to God they haven't parted ways. I am going to be so sad if I'll never get to see the two of them in concert again

Elton Johns new album was also available, along with Bob Segers.

A HORRIBLE new album from Clay Aiken where he covers classic 80's hits BADLY. He tried to turn one of my favorites (Foreigners - I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS) into a duet.

Add to those some new CD's from Diana Krall & Evenescence and I'd say my Soviet connections are making themselves useful

I'll try to get some of that music loaded into the system.

I told ya it was a duet with the M2M chick, and I also told you ML can't really sing anymore.  (Remember?)  I don't know what the deal is with your crush, but I'll try & find out...

OK, I don’t see anything official on Patti Russo, but according to a fan site I found:

I did remember you saying that about the M2M girl, but I guess I just wasn't thinking that would be the official CD version.

I hope Patti records an album. She was great. They were an awesome duo.

THIS SUCKS!

As for his voice, it really does sound restrained, like he's afraid to belt it out. Erica said she checked his website and he's not planning to tour behind this album because his knees are bad

Maybe THIS should be under the "things that make me feel old" thread. I feel so bad about this. My all-time favorite artist showing the signs of aging and not being able to continue touring. I can't believe I'll probably never get a chance to see him and Patti in concert together again Thank God for the DVD's
