Nobody knows MySQL?

Nobody?

I think I have the problem narrowed down to simply figuring out how to let the MySQL database accept requests from the website, but so far I'm having NO luck.

Anyone proficient in this crap (sorry Ruby but my patience is very thin right now )

I gotta run to work now, I'm actually happy to have to work today, this damn computer stuff is driving me slowly insane.

Have a good day all!

Web should know, right? The little bit I've tinkered around with makes me think your file permissions are such that it won't let an outside system mess with the files themselves, as opposed to the problem being with the database. But I could be totally off.

When I was using Drupal to develop our new patient websites, it wouldn't let users add their own pictures. The problem ended up being with the permissions on the file that the pictures would go in.

JR, what port is it listening on? It might be that I just need to open that port up on the server firewall.

I found it.

It is the server firewall.

I turned the firewall off at the server and was able to see the playlist and request two songs.

I've turned the firewall back on, now we just need to figure out what ports to open up to make it all happy.

I can watch the logs and see its using random ports so that won't work . . . so I just allowed the station's IP through to anything and viola!

We gots a request system.

You could not have ever fixed this no matter how long you would have continued to work on it since it was a server firewall issue.

I'm just glad you made this post because you mentioned the database connection which made me think "firewall?".

I REALLY thought about asking you if it was something on your end, because I did EVERYTHING I used to do when the system would crash an NOTHING was working.

You really made my day Web!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
