I always take things out of my pockets after I take something off.

i try to do it when i take the clothes off but i have washed my mastercard and some paper. hubby is forever leaving change in his pocket.

If her chapstick is ruining your work shirts then the solution is simple.

You gotta start washing your clothes by themselves and FIRST!

*raises hand* Guilty.

I try to take stuff out of my pockets when I get home, but I'm bad at leaving stuff in my pockets. I'm lucky to finish a stick of chapstick, it usually gets lost or washed before I can finish it.

I am worse with my jackets. I never empty them, so sometimes I get that "Oh I have money!" surprise 6 months later when I put the jacket on again. lol

i empty MY pockets firsthand; otherwise, i check pockets before they go into the washer.  i've had bad experiences with marker, chapstick, crayola, pens...  any money left in pockets is seen as a tip for the laundry lady (ME).  usually, it's just change, but i've been tipped with paper money also.
