Hey all....do you think there are enough songs on the system to play nothing but cover songs by the non-original artists?  Thought we might have fun with that!  Thoughts???

ok this one is tricky. LS can correct me- but I think this was written for Roy Orbison to do but then he didn't want it at first? Then Cyndi did it, but I know I saw a video where Roy was doing this song. And yes Celine Dion did it but I didn't want to hear that one!

I’m not sure about Roy Orbison originally passing on it, but I know Cyndi recorded it first.  I believe Roy’s version was for a soundtrack (Craig – You could probably tell us which one.)  I remember the black & white video for his version – had the actor from Beverly Hills 90210 in it.


 


I can tell you that it was written by a favorite songwriting team of mine – Steinberg/Kelly.


And I can tell you I almost barfed when I first heard Celine’s cover. 


 


And I still feel like it should be “Woke you from your sleep, to make love to me” instead of “you”, because it rhymes.  ???
