Ok guys just a question from my end. has anyone heard if this may happen or is it already out? if sat radio is in car what about internet radio as well!
I have heard that they are seriously trying to make it happen, but it's got a lot of obstacles.
The main thing is you would get your internet from basically a cell phone tower, and everytime you switch between towers as you drive you would lose your connection.
Plus it could be very expensive obviously.
But they are working on it! And when the day comes that it's available internet radio could EXPLODE if the RIAA doesn't shut it down before that.
Yeah, i remember watchin a pimp my ride episode and they put internet in the car! that got me thinkin. imagine drivin to work with FFR on! how cool would that be?
Sounds like a cool idea, but I can't really imagine the logistics on that. It would have to be way harder than the PCS phone signals to manage. Cell site hand offs would have to be a nightmare.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
I have mobile internet through my cellphone service. My cell phone connects to my laptop with a USB cable and the laptop sees it as a modem. Then I just dial up the connection which runs at about 140k max which is plenty fast for a 64k stream.
The problem is that my cellphone service specifically says the service is NOT to be used for media streaming. I have unlmited nationwide data transfer so the bandwidth wouldn't be an issue for me, but I don't want to take a chance on losing my only option for mobile internet just to listen to internet radio.
