Yay . . . I say YAY!!!

Yes, I'm happy.

I won the auction last week on the used motherboard that I needed to fix my "old" laptop. I hated to just dump it as it is still a very usable laptop, but IBM wanted $800 for a new motherboard.

I ended up paying $200 for the board through the Ebay auction and it arrived today. I had to move the processor from the broken board to the "new" one. It's been several months since I took it all apart, but fortunately I was able to remember how it went back together.

I got all the parts back where they belong and I'll be darned if it isn't working!

Yay!

$200 turned a worthless brick back into a usable laptop computer again!

Yay!

Oh . . . did I mention "YAY!" ??

Whoa!

If the bugs around here were like that I'd take the screens off and leave the windows open!

But they're not they're icky, scary lookin' bugs!

They are pretty harmless but they are a nuissance! I am so sick of them! Last year it was house centipedes and now these! No guarantee that the centipedes won't be back either.





We have those things here too. We have always called them "Box Elder" bugs. They have always been terrible during the winter at my dad's house.

They usually come out during the fall and find a warm wall to sit on, usually there are hundreds of them. We used to catch them and put them in jars. (Just because that's what little boys do!)
