Who's requesting all the new music.

Ok.

I did a top 30 countdown yesterday of the most popular songs on the internet. I didn't know 20 of the 30 probably. I had never even heard of the artists.

Now I see all day long the songs have been getting requested.

Who's doin it? Did you know these songs before hand? Was I THAT out of the loop with current music?

Or are you just trying them all out for the first time?

Can't speak for the others, but I love this new stuff...as much of a 70's junkie (80's too) I love this new rock.  Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul are two of my favs.  It makes the mix even better.  With all the newer music you've added, you might want to try a puch again like you did a few months ago with MySpace.  That brought many new listeners to the station and hopefully many stuck with us.

That's kind of what I've been thinking SG.

We're part of the reporting network to RadioWave now, and I bought the entire Top 30 to start doing a weekly countdown. That let's me put comments on all those band pages that the artist is part of this weeks countdown and hopefully brings some fans in to find out where they fall on the list

I was really impressed too. There's a lot of good music out there that I wasn't aware of. We're part of the adult contemporary/AAA charts, so it's all stuff that I'm comfortable adding.

That Sandi Thom is one of my new favorites! I can't wait until tonight to listen to the rest of her album.

I'm startin', little by little, to feel it again. Gettin' psyched to build this puppy again.

I think last week was a real boost. I went to the PO box after not having been there in about two weeks and it was STUFFED! We had 9 unsolicited CD's from artists asking to be considered for airplay.

That's pretty cool!

The AC/ACC charts are what I love....I have Sirius in my cars and on my DISH network at home and listed to The Pulse - The 90's to now....so I can stay up to date on some current music. Thats when I'm not on my computer or at work......

I'm sorry to say I just DIDN'T keep up with current music!

I've been lost in the station and all the old stuff. Even in the car I usually have the ipod on with the hits from the 80's & 90's or I have XM Radio on tuned to the 80's channel.

So I was really out of the loop. But there really are a lot of exciting new artists, and with the internet so many of them are making it on their own, without some big corporate record company calling all the shots.

I LOVE IT!

Guilty as charged.  Unfortunately, I can't admit to being hip.  Most I didn't know.  I just like to hear new music.  My favorite today was the % Me" song.  I know it from VH1 and radio.  I LOVE it!!  I think Kaisha is going to keep us young and she seems to have really good taste in new music.  Keep it coming Kaisha!!

No, they have hundreds if not thousands of reporting stations. Any station with more than 5000 listener hours per month is monitored.

I am supposed to send them a logo though, so they must display it somewhere, not sure where though.
