Just finished watching too much TV, now I'm heading to bed.

Gotta say, this new show "Drive" is looking pretty good. I didn't expect much, but so far it's exceeded those low expectations.

And TWO AND A HALF MEN had one of the funniest scenes I've seen on TV in awhile. I laughed like a crazy man. Bet the landlady was wondering what the hell was so funny down here!

TiVo is now off, and I'm goin' to bed.

G'nite all!

But I am sad that Rose left 2 & 1/2 Men to go to that new show Drive. I loved her character! cry

I was sorry to see her go too, but I was even SORRIER they didn't use it as an opportunity to show a more human side to Charlie.

His playboy lifestyle is the heart of the show, so I wouldn't want it to change, but I think it's a good idea to show that a character has some depth too. That was a perfect opportunity to have him go through a couple weeks of reaction to losing her, instead it felt rushed and fake. He had that one moment at the end of the show when the reality hit that she had left, but next week it's back to normal and she's never to be spoken of again.

She seems pretty good in Drive though, I'm tempted to stop watching it now and wait for the DVD. That show really surprised me. I really thought it would suck.

So Woo, was there a scene in 2 1/3 men yesterday that had you rolling on the floor?

She did play that character really well. Either she's a very good actress, or that part was not too much of a stretch for her.

 I wondered that too!  biggrin.gif

She's really not that far off the character in the new show.  She just has a natural quirkiness that makes her seem fun and very cute.

That show always has me rollin'! Which part are you referring?

Oh and it took me forever to realize where I had seen the actress that we are talking about. She played in the Drew Barrymore movie Ever After as on of her step-sisters.

The scene that got me was right after when Alan was choking at the table as Charlie was being asked to go to the wedding.

You hear Jake say "Uh Oh" off camera and when they cut to him he's got an impossible amount of spahgetti all over his tuxedo. I think it was the fact he had practically a whole plates worth of stain on there, it just had me laughing my a## off.

oh yes!! We were dying during that too! I think the kid was having a hard time keeping it together some of the time too! I also loved Judith's face when she saw Charlie in the wedding!

They really do have the entire show cast very well.

My mother-in-law LOVES that show. That kind of surprises me because she is so "proper", I'm surprised that she was not turned off by Charlie's "Playboy" lifestyle from the beginning. Whenever she needs a smile, we can just look at her and sing "Squaaaaaaaaaaaaab". It almost always works, that was her favorite episode.

Yeah, that was a great look. She really plays that part extremely well.

I wonder what they'll do when the boy hit's puberty and grows up fast. Right now he's just perfect for the roll.

I've noticed there has been no talk about that show making it to DVD, which is odd. Usually people are clamoring for it, but I've heard no buzz at all.

Anf?!?! ARE YOU OUT THERE?!!?

Any news on a two and a half men DVD?

That IS surprising Web!  The humor of the show is in the loose morals of Charlie, but even I squirm a little when they have Jake say some questionable stuff.

But you're right, the show was cast very well.  Everyone fills their roll really well.

The look on Alan's X wife was priceless when she was walking down the aisle last night to get married, and she saw CHARLIE standing at the front as an usher, because one of the other groomsmen couldn't be there, so he filled in at the last minute.

I have always loved Ryan Stiles, from "Who's Line is It Anyways?"..
