Ok This will show how cheesy I am.


I got to meet Garth Brooks ( although since he lives in Oklahoma its not all that hard)


I like Ruby who got to meet the Monkees. I got to meet Michael Nesmith as his niece went to school with me and he came to see her off on our band trip.


 


I got to meet the members of Def Leppard when they came to Tulsa for the Adrenalize tour


I got to meet Reba McIntyre when she came to Target one time


 


I think I have the pics of Bon Jovi on thier New Jersey Tour in 1989 when I got to meet them backstage ( thank you to the radio station for the back stage pass.)

Met Bob Knight (current Texas Tech Basketball Coach)


Met Mike Davis (current UAB Basketball coach) & babysat his son


Met Cam Cameron (current offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers)


Met Antwaan Randle El (current Washington Redskin Wide Receiver) & had an education class with him(we even worked on one of our 2 week Project assignments together)


Met Troy Murphy (Starting Center for the Golden State Warriors) my sister dated him in junior high


Was very good friends with a Miss America Contestant

I remember another one, in the early 80's when the movie "Sooner or Later" came out w/ Rex Smith I went to the mall to see him, with about 2000 other teenage girls.  And waited in line for his autograph.  He was so dreamy back then.  I wonder what he's doing these days? This is for you ladies to help jog your memory if you forgot who he was:

No need to remind this girl of "Sooner Or Later".  As I've posted many times, it's one of my all-time favorite movies!  He's doing stage shows.  I went to see him a few years ago starring as "Danny" in "Grease".  (Micky Dolenz was playing the DJ role) and he was fantastic.  Just off-the-hook sexy.  We met him afterwards, and he signed 2 of my albums.  But he was in a baaaaaad mood, and wasn't pleasant to meet.  My sister had met him many years prior to that, back when he was hosting Solid Gold.  She went to a professional iceskating performance, and he was there.  He was very sweet to her, so I'm not saying he's a jerk - I think I just caught him at the wrong time.

I live in CT, but yes, we're only about 1 1/2 hours from NYC.  The show last night was in CT, though.  They were amazing.  I was a little hesitant to see them without John Entwistle, but just seeing Pete (#2 on my "People I'd most like to meet" list) and Roger onstage in all their glory!  They're living legends, with huge presence, and have been such a big part of my life. It was truly magical.  And the Pretenders were great, too.
