For us, we like to be different, so we use a palm tree.

I prefer the real ones but the past few years have been crazy busy, no time to cut one. This year I was going to get a real one until the fires the other day really made me think.

We bought a nice artificial our first Christmas together as a married couple. We've used it every year since. It's getting harder to "fluff" it up into shape each time, but when you get all the decorations on it, it still looks nice.

The last few years, my wife has been talking about getting a new one, but we look at what they cost and compare that with what we have and it hasn't been worth the cost yet.
