I'm READY FOR BED! It was a stressful drive to Illinois this morning, somewhat icy roads. Tonights supposed to be worse, 4 - 8 iches of snow due to fall right about when my route runs (oh the good fortune I have).

So I need to rest up!

Wow, I am really feeling good about the weather I am having reading all your post this morning. It's supposed to get to 65 degrees today.  So unlike our weather this time of year.  I'm happy about it, because I am not a person who likes snow, and freezing cold weather!

Man, I don't like these weather reports, I'll be getting that stuff tonight!

I took the morning off today. Brian has a doctor's appointment at 9:40, and I have some personal time I need to use, so I figured I'd just take the whole morning off. I just took a shower (inside, though I probably could've done it outside!), and now I think I'll hit the forum and make a poster I've been wanting to make.

oh man it sounds like many of us are getting hit with this stuff! I work in a different county then where I live and the annoying one says that they are only talking a few inches of snow here. But I think she is full of it. I read 3 -5 for here. In any case it sounds nasty.

Unless one county is south of the other, I'd have to agree with you Woo. Apparently everyone north of us (meaning all the way to the Canadian border) is supposed to get hit with it. We're only supposed to get 1-2" of snow, but we're supposed to get a lot of rain first. I need some ice skates...

Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!


Like Disco, I cant get out of the complex and Since I work at Capital One, The expressways and HWY 169 are at a stand still. I called at 630 and due to inclement weather. WE ARE CLOSED!!!!!!! snow day for me!


They are predicting 3-6 inches of snow for the Tulsa area and several more inches to the south and North of us. it started yesterday about 230 with alot of rain and really has not stopped

It's been quite a while since I had to deal with snow and ice when I lived in the northesat....ya know....I don't miss it at all!  Best of luck to all of you that must deal with it!

All schools litterally in Oklahoma are closed today Ruby. As usuall tho McDonalds and the Malls and Wally World are open

Oh I forgot to add that I woke up at 4:30 with a leg cramp. Once it settled I did manage to get back to sleep but my leg is still very sore.

Its a loverly 6° this morning but the sun is shining and the wind is not blowing so it doesn't feel too bad.

I'm off to a slow start. My wife's work had an internal contest recently and for participating, they all got breakfast together this morning before work. She got ready to leave the restaurant and the car was dead.

It was just a new battery so I suspected the starter. I got there and there was no power at all. I checked the cables and one of the battery cables was loose. Yay, easy fix.

I'm dealing with a lot of billing issues. I've got quite a few late/slow payers and I could really use the money so I've been sending past due notices. So, now I'm getting all the replies back like "oops, I thought I paid that", and "don't shut me off, I'll pay next week", etc. One customer has been promising "next week" for a month and-a-half. I think its time for their website to stop working and see if that makes a difference in how soon "next week" gets here.

Thats my day so far.

Hi all!   Thought I'd check in since so many of us are in the bad weather ahead area.  We got quite a bit of ice last night as well, but sounds like it was worse for Thumper and DS.  I was able to get around just fine this morning.  The weather forcast says anywhere from 2-12 inches of snow for me and Pambo, so who knows what will really happen?  Apparently whatever is going to happen will be all done by daybreak tomorrow.


I'm keeping one eye on The Weather Channel, and periodically checking out the window. If it gets too bad, then I'll head out and work from home later this afternoon. (4WD and the wireless broadband card are fabulous things to have!!)  Pambo is still at home this morning hanging out with her grandson, so I'm hoping she will just stay there.


Good luck to everybody in the cruddy weather path!

Good mor er afternoon, I'm feeling a little bit better today, it's 17 degrees here and Little A and I are watching the Koala Brothers.


Sorry to hear about all the bad weather. How many inches of snow does it usually take in your area to shut you down?


If we get 12 inches here it's business as usuall, it usually takes about 16 inches and wind to shut us down here.

just thought i'd check in before the natives get restless...  it looks beautiful outside!  but it's friggin cold and still snowing!  17* & a wind chill of 1.  wherever this storm is headed, i hope everyone fares well...


today i decided to take out the christmas stuff.  the tree is inside from the shed, but not up yet.  i have put out a few of my nativities, but don't think i will put them all out this year. 


other than that, my day was totally unproductive and the house is still a mess!  hope everyone has a great night!
