Welcome Jules from Sunny Orlando!   Glad to have ya with us!  BTW, my sone was down under this past June (Austrailia & New Zealand) for three weeks)  He loved it!  The nicest people (except for those in Orlando with us )

Hi everyone, god I am such a dag!!  I completely missed this thread.  It is so great to be part of freezeframe!  How the heck did I miss it!  I must be so blind.  But please forgive me because I am a newbie!!  Thank you all so much for your welcomes!!


I know I should be writing this in my details but since you all have asked me so many things in this thread I will answer a few now and I will give you more details about my life soon!


Well yes, I am from Australia.  I am living in Weipa in the Far Far North of Queensland.  This place is such a crazy place.  Very isolated, very very hot (38-46 degree celsius temps every day).  And there are crocodiles everywhere!  There are Achtung warning signs everywhere saying do not swim in the water.  It is such a tease when it is so hot and you cannot swim at one single beach or waterway.  Crocodiles inhabit the waters all around here.  As well as crocs, there are sharks, stingrays, snakes, spiders, kangaroos, emus and heaps heaps more.  I am living in a very wild zoo..hehe!  And as JD said, I walk around in high heels here much to the amusement of the locals!


I have been a city chick all my life...32 (almost 33) years of city living before I decided to take the plunge and move to a very isolated town right at the top of Australia.  Has been a huge culture shock for me.  And peoples...the shopping centre consists of a grand total of 7 shops (that is all that is here...and girls, there is only one clothes shop in town!!).


And my whole life has been one big party!  I love the quote "Have a good time, all the time"!  I try to be that way all the time.  I drink far too much beer, listen to alot of music, love the live original music scene, am very adventurous and impulsive and just love to laugh and smile alot with good friends.

Well how about the venemous snake living in my yard right now...or there are sharks, stingrays but there are also kanagaroos, emus, koalas and such as well!!  I live in wild country!!

Hey there isn't even a takeaway food joint in site for 12 hours hehehe!  Either have to take a plane or face that 12 hour drive!!  I love it!  So uncivilised here!!
