Sure do know where that is!!  My aunt used to live in Kingston.  I used to live in inner city yuppie suburb called Auchenflower (about 40km from Kingston).  So weird to go from a classy suburb and move to the sticks of Australia with no luxuries at all!!

Hi Jules-  Welcome to FFR.  I'm enjoying reading your notes through the day.  Since I can't get online at work, we may actually be on a similar schedule.  Would you belong more of the Night Owl Club or the Early Birds flock?  Just curious what you do for a living that you can move to such a different environment?  Sounds like you are a very free spirit.  I'm one of those boring, down to earth types.  Always worrying about retirement, what others think, and worrying I'm not being a good enough mom.  It will be fun to live vicariously through you and your blog.  We're just glad to have you in our little group to keep us lively.  Woo and Ally and Darlene have been carrying that load for a while.

Hiya there!!  Hey I am usually a mad night owl but have the ability to get on just about anytime of the day.  And in answer to your question what do I do for a living...well I work as an Administration Officer/Manager usually and it is so difficult for them to get admin staff up here so they offer unbelievable pay rates for staff to come work in remote places.  Almost triple what I would earn in the city!!  Right now I am taking a break from work before settling into any position.  Just attended a couple of interviews during the week for starting next year after Christmas/New Year.  Just gonna hang and travel and explore my new environment for a while!!  Just gonna let life take me on its wild ride for a while..hehehe!!

Come for a visit one day!!  Will show you the sights!  Am just about to fly back to Brisbane on Sunday for 2.5 weeks to buy supplies before the wet season hits up here and I get flooded in for a couple of months.  2 planes it takes to do any decent shopping.  If you don't, you can be stranded with no food or supplies for a couple of months!!  How does this place sound to you now?  But I love adventure and risks!!  Learning great survival skills!!  I am happy I have the opportunity to be able to do this!  After my 14 year relationship ended...i am suddenly single again and just want to go out and do whatever I want to do!  I'm having a ball!!
