Saturday 12/2

Good morning all!  I'm sorry I didn't get to check back with everyone yesterday.  Pambo and I faired well through our part of the winter storm. It really wasn't as bad as it could have been.  We got about 5 inches worth of snow.  I gather it must have ended somewhere before 4AM when I woke up and peeked out the window. By time I left for work, the roads here in Olathe were just snowpacked.  By time I got to my office in Overland Park, the roads were just wet.  The snow plows had been out all night doing a heckuva good job.

Today is supposed to get to about 38* which will be nice if it happens. I need to get out and do some shopping this weekend... need to find something to wear to a Christmas party next weekend.  I'm so excited!  It's the one actual adult dress up party I get to go to every year!

Good day all. I'm up a bit earlier than I expected to be. I was so tired last night, and I haven't been sleeping very well. But I did have a good night's sleep, so that's gotta count for something.

I think I'll hang around here for a while, then do some grocery shopping, a little bit of cleaning, then work on the dress.

Good morning everyone.  I worked late last night as a bartender at my own Police Christmas Party.  There were a lot of people from the police department who didn't even know I worked as a bartender, and they all came up to the bar and did a double take??  I'd say to them "Hi, ____? and they were like "I didn't know you did this, why aren't you here w/ the Christmas party?"    I just said to them, "I'd rather work bartending, I still can see you all, and at the end of the night, I'm $200 dollars richer."

It was a good time.  By the end of the night all the wives of the cops were driving them home.

Howdy folks.

I've been working on my normal Saturday morning server maintenance routine.

I need to work in the bathroom today. It would be nice if I can get the tub surround put up. Then, once I get the vinyl on the floor, we can finish hooking up the tub and toilet and have a somewhat functioning bathroom again. I still have to build the vanity and medicine cabinet, but I doubt that will get done before Christmas now at this point with the other things I have to do before Christmas.

The Huskers play Oklahoma tonight on ABC for the Big12 title . . . you know where I'll be from 7:00 - 10:00 pm.

Go Big Red!

Morning everyone, it's a whopping 11 degrees here right now. Little A and I are heading to Sturgis to see her Grandparents. Everyone have a great day.

Say Web, YOU did say you have another bathroom didn't you?

If not I'm glad the wind is blowing the other way!

yesterday's snow was good for somethin- catchin dumm a's

If it weren't for all the accidents, Friday's snow could be been as a good thing, from a police perspective.

There were no shootings overnight, and crime was down across the board, Milwaukee Police Capt. Debra Davidoski said today.

Then there were the two armed robbers nabbed while trying to push their car out of a snowbank.

"There is a God," Davidoski said.

Two Milwaukee men, ages 27 and 22, are in custody accused of robbing a man outside a check cashing store in the 2600 block of W. Center around 11:20 a.m. Friday, and then a holding up a woman less than an hour later in the 2300 block of W. Garfield Ave.

According to police, the suspects pushed the woman into their car, robbed her and threw her back out. When officers responded to the scene, they found the suspects trying to dislodge their vehicle from the snow. The men fled on foot and were arrested about six blocks later.

Police are searching for a female accomplice who participated in the first robbery, Davidoski said.

I guess we had to get a major snowstorm to finally see the sun. We had gone four or five days with overcast weather before the storm, now the last two days after the storm passed I'm finally getting sunlight! YAY!

I missed the sun If only it would do it's job AND WARM US UP NOW! Where's all this so-called global warming I've been hearing about!?!?!?

Yes, we have a toilet and shower in the basement. We're using the kitchen sink as the bathroom sink for now. The worst thing is that the boy won't shower so Mrs. Web take him over to her mom's every other day for a bath.

Mrs Web will be REALLY glad to have the tub back as it takes an hour at grandmas. It talked to grandma today and she asked how it was going. I told her The tub was about ready to be usable. She got sad because she's been enjoying the company and having the boy over there every other day.

I'm taking a break and letting some glue set before I put the final corner piece of the surround up. The Christmas stuff is all hauled down from the attic.

Three hrs. to Huskervision.

I've had enough vehicular fun for this day.  I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend!
