Hey Ruby,


I saw a South Carolina licence plate today- did it say "state of great smiles and a greater beach"??? something like that?? really a colorful plate...


what's the slogan for YOUR state?


In wisconsin its "America's Dairyland".

Oh, I think we've had a few, "Crossroads of America" (or Under Construction Roads of America), "Amber Waves of Grain" (I don't think that much grain is grown in Indiana, mostly corn and soy), and "Back Home Again" (but not under my own free will).

After the hurricase of '04 they toyed with this plate as out new one, but it never gained any traction in the legislature...wonder why??  Our real plates have either the county of residence or Sunshine State on them, unless they are one of the 137 specialty plates we offer (for real!)

We are known as the Sunshine State in Queensland Australia!!  The Premier tried to change it to the "Smart State" because he had some thing about Queenslanders being so much smarter! But we are very patriotic towards our sunshine and all the other states gave us crap about it...so we are once again the good old Sunshine State!!
