Its just before 12:00 AM, we are in Mountain time zone. Its cold as hell here too, its only about 20 F right now. I am fighting with my daughter to go to sleep, she is 2 and thinks she is 21.

Yes...i have the dreaded flu!!  Summer flu..even worse!!


Good luck with getting sleep with the little one!!  I had to fight with my three young nephews to get them to bed everynight for 2 weeks when they stayed with me!!  And they are aged 2, 4 & 7.  Joy!

yeah it is officially Wednesday I guess, I am just at the end of my rope with her tonight, she is just plain naughty. She has hit me and pinched me and just wont give it up. I am thinking that she might spend the night with her grandparents tomorrow night.


You are in your summer? we are in winter for the next four months roughly. Have you ever visited the US?

I do not have Winter where I am in Weipa!!  Stays hot all year around...crazy!!


I have never been to the US.  I am finding my travelling feet now and want to visit absolutely everywhere!!  I very well may be heading over next year some time!!

There are so many places to visit, make sure you have plenty of time. I would love the no winter thing, its so depressing this time of year its cold and daylight is limited, it gets dark at about 4:30 in the afternoon and doesnt get light until about 7 AM.

Could do with a little winter though!!  It is so so hot all the time!  The sun beats down like death rays..hehe!

I'll trade you anytime...I love the heat. I can see where it would get old too, but the cold stinks. I think I would be prefectly happy with no winter. Do you live in a tropical climate? or more desert?

It is very tropical weather in Weipa!!  Hot and steamy!!  Weird to look around town and see so much red dirt and dust but everything is so green and tropical like a jungle as well!!

We have palm and coconut trees galore!!  And many many frangipani trees!!  Very beautiful!  Live on the edge of the famous Daintree Rainforest and the other side of the Cape is the famous Great Barrier Reef so I get plenty of sight seeing!!  Weipa is just too isolated from the rest of the towns as we are right up on the tip of Queensland.  You have to be tough to live out there!

Wasn't me AC!!  I never lurk...i let it be known i'm here!!  I ended up playing air hockey, monopoly and drinking beer with a pair of butch lesbians and a tradesman, and singing ageing hippy songs like "The Age of Aquarias" last night!
