Good to hear! 


It IS kind of a Christmas miracle.  I got up, went to the GYM (no WAY) & went to 2 basketball games before I crashed today.  I'm in the bed now...I love that my husband put a big ol' power strip next to the bed so I can laptop in bed now.

Hey, a laptop in bed is like HEAVEN!


I've been livin' like that for a few months now and I LOVE IT!  If I could just get a mini-fridge and a porta potty I'd never have to leave my bedroom!

Hubby is good.  He's slowly getting off the steriods (YAY for that!) & on his chemo meds that help him maintain his remission.  (Gosh.  It sounds like I'm describing cancer.  He's got Lupus not cancer...don't worry)


No.  The pain is no better than before the surgery.  Yeah.  I'm still working.  It just takes all my...concentration to stay at work each day.  I come home & go right to bed.  The surgery didn't take.  Wait.  That's not really true.  I have lots of numbness on my lower face, but I gained horrible pain in my ear.  I lost the pain in my eye for a few weeks...then it came back like a BEAR.  I guess it's probably at the same level as before.  I just didn't have 2 years to get used to it this time.


They've got me on this experimental ointment that I put on that side of my face.  It's got an animal tranquilzer (Ketamine) mixed with an antidepressant (amitriptyline) in it.  It's used by diabetics for their feet & hand pains.  We're testing it on my face.  It's scary...but it hasn't really done much yet.  It's only been a week & a half so...too soon to tell.


So...


It looks like 2007 is going to be the year that I get this all figured out.

Gosh I am sorry to hear that. I am still praying for you two and the chance that you will take a cruise soon! Hang in there though, your attitude is an inspiration for us all!

Pambo:  Sorry to hear that you're still in pain, but I'm glad the meds are working to keep it down for you.  I used to have a mini-fridge next to my bed   I thought it would be nice to have ice-cold water at the ready when I got thirsty in the middle of the night, but I soon realized it just meant more trips to the bathroom so I got rid of it.

Not even remotely.  I only did a little online shopping after Thanksgiving.  I hardly went anywhere that weekend.

        Hi JR, this week ive only managed to get on today, was on at about 6 or 7am your time! Also this week has been a bit differant with all the works Christmas Parties! so ive not been home alot of the time this week only to sleep really! i think thats it for this year, which means alot more online with FFR Wooooo!
