Im ok thanks Ruby, work is a bit crazy at the moment but I don't mind that.

I haven't seen the new Superman yet, I heard it wasn't great, what did you think?

Oh I liked it. It was much darker than the other films. Kind of like the new Batman was. There are still some chick flick qualities, but I thought is was definitely worth a rent. Little E wants Santa to bring it to her, so I just might have to buy it.


Sorry you are crazy at work- I was too yesterday and then the boy called at 3 for a ride home from detention! Two more days though, I can handle it!

Mornin'

We're under a layer of ice this morning. The boy woke up in the middle of the night with a bad cold so he would have likely stayed home from school anyway, but a late start is scheduled. All other schools are closed around us so I expect ours will be too. Mrs Web is not feeling all that well either so she is going to stay home today.

I'm going to see if I can get Mrs Web's car in to get her new stereo installed. With the weather, I expect they won't be real busy today. Then, I've got two chairs that I promised I would get repaired for another lady before Christmas. I'll need to get that done today too.

Hope your day is not as slippery as ours.

I'm here. I'm still sick. I got payroll done yesterday but then reality hit me. We have all of next week off which I am looking forward to, but that means I am short a week to enter for next payroll. I have no idea how I am going to do this! Our consumer Christmas party is tomorrow which I just got myself out of by explaining the payroll situation.So if I don't come in when I we are off then I really only have 5 days to enter 2 weeks of payroll! That I normally do in 10 days! So I'm guessing that I will be too busy to play much.

Morning everyone, My Birthday evening started good and ended up horrible. When we got home we had discovered the hot water heater has been leaking for some time, the enclosure where it is had some mold. I will have to deal with that more tonight. Little A twisted her ankle and did a head dive into the corner of the refrigerator. She is a tough little kitten, she cried for a little bit and then took off running again. This all happened about 11:00 last night.

present and accounted for!  we're not slipery this morning, but i had to row to work this morning -- at least it's not freezing rain and snow, such as the panhandle is dealing with -- "duck weather" my old boss used to say.


today is our christmas "pot luck" dinner.

The audio guy and I got the new stereo installed in the car. The 30 minute project took over two hours. The springs that release the old radio were not quite right and we had to take a fair amount of the dash apart to get the old one out.

I went back home and presented Mrs Web with the old factory stereo and told her "Merry Christmas". It took her a bit to figure out what I did but she likes it and is happy. I think the best thing she will like about it is how you can shut it off and then when it comes back on, it picks up right where it left off. The portable cd player into a cassette adapter jumbled up mess she was using before would start the cd over from the beginning.

Its a really nice stereo for no more than it cost. Its a JVC am/fm with CD player, removable face and it also has an aux audio input for an mp3 player, laptop, etc. It will also play mp3's from a data CD. A CD will hold about 80 decent quality mp3 files. Now, get new brakes on the car and she should be ready to rock.

Its still raining and icy. The roads are just wet with the salt/gravel they strung but other places are slick and the trees are really starting to droop with the ice load.

I gotta get to work on those chairs now. Later!
