DON'T REQUEST THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!

I stopped putting xmas songs into the cue automatically starting yesterday.


The Xmas music is STILL on the request list, but if you request it you will be wasting a request as it will not play.


 


I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do.  If I remove it from the list it's a great deal of work every Christmas to re-add it to the system and tag it all.  But we don't want people playing Christmas music in August either, and there's always some smart-aleck who would screw with us and do that


SO for now, the songs are still there, but I've altered the folder so the system won't be able to find the file that's been requested.


Maybe that's the way to go.  If someone is gonna try to request "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby in August, they probably DESERVE to lose one request

Truth me told, there's a FEW songs (like Wham's "Last Christmas") that I could see MYSELF requesting year-round.

My thought exactly.  I was just gonna say the same thing about that very song!


And I like your idea of keeping it on the list, but not making it "requestable."

That's not listed under the Christmas songs


It should be requestable.  Try again.  We have the original version on the list too you know.
