What bands would you like to see reunited??

Just saw a repeat episode of the VH1 show Bands Reunited.  It reunites (sometimes) bands that haven't performed together in many, many years.  The episode I saw this morning was on Vixen.  Lots of fun!  Other shows they've done were:

A Flock Of Seagulls
ABC

Berlin
Dramarama
Extreme
Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Haircut 100
Information Society
Kajagoogoo
Klymaxx
New Kids On The Block
Romeo Void
Scandal
Squeeze
The Alarm
The English Beat
The Motels
Vixen
I saw a bunch of them and really enjoyed, especially when the groups would not get back together! Which bands would you like to see, and lets not include groups like The Police...

My first pick would be The Hooters!

They already hit two of my favorites with Berlin & Scandal.

Obviously my FIRST choice would be Van Halen, but for smaller groups I'd agree with the Hooters, they were cool.

I'd like to see Chicago get back with Cetera at the helm for awhile too.

Van Halen with either Sammy or David Lee would be my pick.  Is anyone surprised at my choice.  Thought not...

It won't happen, but I'd love to see Led Zeppelin reunited.  They've always been my fave since I first heard them when I was like 10 or 11.  I'll never forget the morning I heard John Bonham had died....I was getting ready for school and just sat there, completely stunned.  They were scheduled to play a concert near me and I had a ticket to go......I was so disappointed and saddened because my favorite band no longer existed.  When I got to school, Bonham's death was the talk of the day.....so many of us loved Zeppelin and had tickets for the upcoming concert.  It was truly a sad day.

I agree with you Sandy!!!  Love to see Led Zep reform but they never will without Bonzo!

I'd like to see Zepp reunite too.  They could use John's son Jason for the tour.

I guess when ya learn from the best, ya haveta pick something up!  But there still wasn't anything like Bonham at a Zeppelin Show.  Saw them once at Madison Square Garden in the mid 70's and it was great!

As for reuniting,,,,how about Smashing Pumpkins

You don't know how many times I drew that YES logo on a shirt, pants, faces, just about anything I could. I have a book on Roger Dean, the artist that did all the yes stuff, Uriah Heep etc.

I saw yes twice. The last show was the one for Tormato.

Genesis, three times. Never saw ELP, my friends saw them for the tour supporting the triple live lp, Welcome Back My Friends!

Gunna have clean out the bongs.

Do they all have to be alive? {{lol}} I think it would be stellar to see The Beatles together again. Or The Doors, all out in the desert getting high on peyote and coming up with some crazy new smack. If that were possible, what do you think they would do given the change in the music scene today? Hmmmm...

ooooh the original YES doing that Tales From Topographical Oceans stuff! holy crap!!!

Original Genesis!!!!!

I saw Belinda and go-gos I am guessing that must have been in 2000 with reunited Psychadelic furs....

saw Plant and Page I think twice.....

we've covered this one already....but The Police.....

New Order should have had a bigger tour when they reunited, I think they are done....

I saw the Pumpkins I believe 3 times....the 3rd show sooo sooo bad....and we had awesome seats, I will never ever forgive them for that. Blaming the audience for not getting into it. They weren't selling beer, everyone was pissed off about that.....Darcy had to get the rest of the guys back up on stage to continue playing.....so much posturing and drama...I will never forgive them for that.

Consequently the first show I saw them at was just brilliant, right before they got big....I have never seen an audience react to music that way....Siamese Dream......amazing...

That's awesome.  I hate being around drunks.  I had one of them threaten my husband at a Cheap Trick show, telling him he's killed people, etc.  We had to have him thrown out.  Besides, I am a beer magnet.  I despise the smell of the stuff, but sure enough, it's always spilled on me.

With the announcement that Van Halen was gonna tour with DLR, I thought of sveral otherbands that should reunite, besides the Police:
  • ABBA
  • Talking Heads
  • Sly & The Family Stone
  • The Supremes

Me too.....was really surprised there isn't very much Sly in the list.  Hey JR, can you add their Greatest Hits disc to the lineup??
