What's so impressive about TUESDAY?
(Preview)
Tuesday is like the middle child, stuck between Monday and Wednesday. It's initial appearance is that it's just dull and boring, but in fact, it's probably the most productive day of the week. Monday is the day that can't get motivated so doesn't; and Wednesday, well, we all know about Hump Day. W...

Looks like...
(Preview)
...a GREAT evening to grill out! Finally a day with low humidity and moderate temps. I believe we'll be enjoying some of Bob Euckers favorites, Unsinger Brats tonight. A Milwaukee Tradition! Though not as traditional as our world famous Mexican cuisine.

There, I think I got it right this time. We picked up a couple of the boy's friends and took them all to the motorcycle/mini sprint races last night. No one was seriously hurt this year which is a nice change. Looking forward to another day at least 10 degrees cooler than what it has been. THURSDAY...

Hope you have a GREAT day! Try not to look at this cake as being 42 years too late, but rather 30 years too early! (Though I did have it made in 1969 so it might be a bit stale)

Monday -- A new week / a new month
(Preview)
Today is the 213th day of the year. Only 152 more to go. And 21 weekends until Christmas. My car broke down Friday on the way home from work. Fortunately it happened right at a auto repair shop. It needs a new alternator and battery. I hadn't planned on going anywhere over the weekend, but not havin...

More credit card shell games
(Preview)
Ever since Obama got his new credit card laws passed all my creditors have just found creative new ways to recoup their fee's. What kills me is I'm very responsible with my credit, so I never dealt with over-the-limit fee's, late fee's, penalty APR's, or any of the stuff Obama wanted to "fix"...

Anybody looking for some gourmet ice?
(Preview)
I have to share this email I just got from my uncle Jeff. This past weekend was the big family picnic at the park and he was responsible for getting all the ice (which is quite a bit since I think about 80 - 100 people attend this thing. -----I mentioned this experience to a few of you at the picnic Saturday b...

I kind of explained how the HDR (high dynamic range) thing works in the daily photo thread. Pictures are worth a thousand words, this will better show what's happening. If set to do so, most DSLR cameras today will "bracket" and automatically take multiple photos in a row at different ex...

Anybody like Artichokes?
(Preview)
I had some for the first time yesterday on a pizza. I was really, REALLY hesitant to try it. It looks kinda disgusting. But I was pleasantly surprised at how tangy it was. It's probably pretty sad it took me 43 years to have some. I've never even had artichoke dip before. You gotta admit though...

Ok, this thread is mostly for Me n' Fuzzy. Fuzz, you guys gonna get Hunter Pence? I have a feeling the crew isn't going to be able to pull off any deals before the deadline. I wish we'd go after Aramis Ramirez, but I doubt the Cubs would send him to us and I don't know if he'd accept the trade. He se...

Do you do anything that's really unbelievably lazy? For example, when I write the word "aluminum" in cursive, really I just write "a" "l" then a bunch of squiggles and stick a dot somewhere above the middle. Or if I'm going to the bathroom in the middle of the night and...

Mornin'. I'm not really looking forward to today. We have a big driving day ahead of us.
