C-c-c-c-cold Frid-d-d-d-day
(Preview)
Good day all. I didn't want to get out of my nice warm bed this morning. I didn't want to get out of the nice hot shower this morning. I didn't want to leave the nice warm house this morning. Can't say the same about the car though. I went out to start up the car, and either it never started all the way or it died...

NFC / AFC Championship
(Preview)
Ok, can I get some predictions? Here's mine... STEELERS 20 / JETS 14 I was surprised how the offenses for both of these teams are pretty much middle of the road for the NFL. A lot of 14'th & 15'th place finishes for offensive statistical categories. I'm hoping the Steelers win because if the Pa...

What have you been listening to lately?
(Preview)
Well, I know what some of us are listening to today. But what about yesterday? Have you gotten any cool new albums, or just downloaded any new songs? Are you listening to local radio stations? Are there any new songs that you're in love with? And/or, are you using a web service? Which one? I've been us...

Snowin' Rockin' Thursday
(Preview)
It is Thursday, isn't it? I could never get the hang of Thursdays... We've got maybe an inch and a half of snow on the ground so far, the light and fluffy stuff. People are cleaning off the sidewalks with leaf blowers, so it's not too bad yet. But the roads are snow covered, and I haven't seen a plow. I do...

How to become an alcoholic
(Preview)
That my friends, is whiskey in a can. I'm not going to post the whole article here, because there's a lot of fluff in it that I don't think we care about. Here's some excerpts: A Panama-based company believes outdoor drinkers would prefer to crack open a tin rather than lug round a bottle of their favour...

I call it the annual Insurance shuffle, and it's exhausting!
(Preview)
Ugh. I HATE how companies have gotten into the habit of passing along big increases in their pricing without so much as a letter explaining themselves. Time-Warner is famous for it. One month your bill just starts being 10 percent higher for no apparent reason. When I ran a business I could never hav...

Just another manic Monday
(Preview)
Good day all. It's going to be warmer here today. There's even rain in the forecast. I'm hoping it will wash this snow away. It's easier to trick my mind into thinking 'it's not that cold' when the ground is clear.

Hi, I'm WebGuy. I'm a Leo. Well, I was a Virgo, but now I'm a Leo. JR told me about the astrological sign change business last night and then it was on the news this morning. Turns out I'm no longer a Virgo, I'm now a Leo. Who knew? Actually, it makes me laugh. I don't see how anyone who takes astrological stu...

Good day all. I want to move to Florida. After big snow and ice events in the Southeast, Plains, and Midwest this week, 49 out of the 50 states currently have snow on the ground yes, even Hawaii, where snow falls in Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea all winter.

I'm so excited! Here we go! Yes, I know that there is a good possibility I will end up disappointed. But still, this is the Chief's first playoff game since 1986. Good day all. I like DS's poem, so I had to put it in today's thread too: disco strangler wrote: Snow, snow... Oh how you blow... And you suck... I'd rather mow! We've only got 3" so far. Unfortunately, I think we have the worst snow removal street department in the state. The roads are not clear....

Good day, all. Not a lot going on so far. I'm working from home today. Seems everybody is dragging it into the office late this morning. It seems to be very windy today. Since people have been driving like morons and wrecking into each other more than usual, I think I'm glad I'm staying in.
